UPDATE 11/20/2015: The charges against Harroff were dismissed and she permanently relinquished her Texas State Teaching Certificate.
A Neches ISD teacher was arrested Thursday after being accused of having a relationship with one of her students.
Lisa Harroff, 49, of Palestine was charged with "improper relationship between educator and student," according to Anderson County Jail officials. She was released on a $25,000 bond.
Ms. Harroff has held a teaching certificate since May 1985, allowing her to teach first through eighth grades. Neches ISD's website lists Ms. Harroff as a teacher at the junior high school.
Attempts to reach Ms. Harroff by phone Sunday were unsuccessful.
