The 37th annual Mistletoe & Magic - a three-day shopping event offered by the Junior League of Tyler - kicks off Wednesday night with a Jingle Bell Rock Preview Party, followed by the official opening on Thursday.

Junior League volunteers worked on Tuesday to transform Harvey Convention Center into a holiday market that will feature more than 90 boutiques and merchants from around the nation. The vendors will showcase wares, from antiques to artwork to jewelry and seasonal decorations.

"We are a week ahead of what we usually are, so we've gotten different merchants coming in this year," Mistletoe & Magic Chairman Lindsey Harrison said.

In addition to vendor booths, the event also features a variety of specialty events throughout its three-day run, such as brunches, style shows, musical entertainment and children's events.

"We've also changed up the look a little bit this year, and there is a Friday Night Lights event this year that is new," Ms. Harrison said.

Tickets to enter the market are $8 Thursday to Saturday. Prices for special events hosted in association with the event, such as the Wednesday night preview event and brunches, have varying prices.

Proceeds benefit the Junior League of Tyler and the Smith County agencies and nonprofit organizations the group supports.

"With the money that we raise with this, we are able to give back to the nonprofits," Ms. Harrison. "It's a long-standing tradition for the Junior League, and it's our biggest fundraiser of the year."
