Otis Bryan of Overton was recognized for his 70 (“plus one”) years of service with Rocky Mount Masonic Lodge No. 70 in Overton.

Lodge Secretary Daniel Wiggins awarded Bryan with a certificate and 70-year pin Tuesday afternoon. Bryan, at 94, is Rocky Mount’s oldest active member.

He is a survivor of the 1937 New London School explosion, a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific, and is retired from ExxonMobil Corp. Bryan’s next goal is “to earn my 75-year pin.”
