A Payne Springs man was arrested Tuesday in a raid on a home in the Cherokee Shores Subdivision in Henderson County.
Narcotics investigators and a team of deputies, including a K-9 unit, were involved in the Tuesday afternoon raid, and methamphetamines were seized, Henderson County Sheriff Botie Hillhouse said in a news release.
Kevin Drew Compton, 60, was arrested at the Payne Springs residence in the 100 block of Chicota.
Shortly before 1:30 p.m., narcotics investigators executed a search warrant signed by Gun Barrel City Municipal Judge Grace Wallace, according to the news release.
In addition to methamphetamine, the team also found items commonly used to smoke the narcotics, according to the news release.
Compton was charged with possession of a controlled substance and remained in Henderson County Jail on $8,500 bond early Wednesday afternoon.
