The Lindale City Council will hold a called meeting today to introduce the new manager for the city of Lindale.

The meeting will be held at 4:30p.m. at Lindale City Hall

After interviews on May 8, the council offered the position to Craig Lindholm, who is employed with the city of Texarkana, according to a news release from the city. He will fill the vacancy left by former city manager Owen Scott, who retired earlier this year.

The council will enter into a brief closed session today to finalize contract negotiations. The mayor of council will then formally introduce Lindholm as the new city manager. The meeting will conclude about 5:30 p.m., followed by the regularly scheduled city council meeting at 7 p.m.

Lindholm currently serves as executive director managing four departments, including grant development and management, commercial and residential redevelopment, environmental services, Texarkana-Bowie County Health Department and public transit, as well as overseeing seven nonprofit organizations funded by the city, according to the release.

Lindholm served as the president/CEO of Lindholm Management Inc. for eight years, which provided management consultation on community planning and development, and grants for governmental and nonprofit sector.

The city will have a formal meet and greet open to the public in honor of the new city manager on a later date once Lindholm begins his duties.
