Kilgore college student arrested on sex-trafficking charges

KILGORE - U.S. Marshals, assisted by Kilgore College police, arrested a Kilgore College student Monday on sex-trafficking charges.

According to a federal indictment returned in the Southern District of Texas in Galveston, 18-year-old Malik Antione Brown is charged with one count of sex-trafficking and one count of conspiracy to commit sex-trafficking.

Brown is one of four defendants named in the indictment.

Brown was arrested at Bennie Hall, a private dormitory off the Kilgore College campus.

Kilgore College spokesman Chris Craddock said Kilgore College police have no evidence the student participated in any illegal activity at the college.
