At the Cotton Belt Depot Museum, docent Paul Royal never tires of the "chug, chug, chug" that comes when he puts one the museum's model trains into motion.

He said the model trains help connect people to the time decades ago when trains were the king of transportation. The story of the museum and how the railroad helped put Tyler on the map is in the new edition of IN Magazine.

The full-color, glossy magazine celebrates the people and culture of the region. It can be picked up at newsstands. The content of the magazine is posted on its website, inmagtexas.com.

Also check out "IN Live," the web show featuring stories from the magazine. The show, hosted by Melissa McTee, of the Tyler Morning Telegraph, and magazine editor Danny Mogle, is on the website.

IN previews the holiday attractions on the famous Louisiana Trail of Lights and profiles Patrick Mahomes, the East Texan who is setting records as Texas Tech's superstar quarterback.

Readers will discover a fashion spread featuring stylish fur coats and a house that blends rustic Texas Hill Country style and contemporary design.
