The Henderson Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one person injured. The suspects are at large and police are asking for the public's help identifying and locating those believed to be responsible for the shooting.
Officers found a 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest when they responded to a call in the 1400 block of West Lake Street shortly before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to a news release from the department.
Police said witnesses reported seeing at least two people with masks and guns approach the residence from a vehicle parked nearby.
The department said no other information is available about the people in the masks or the vehicle they were in.
Police said shots were fired, hitting the victim in the chest.
The police department is asking anyone with information to contact the department.
Police said officers also found marijuana, narcotics and an unspecified amount of money at the scene of the shooting. No arrests were made.
The victim was treated at a hospital and later released, according to the department.
