The city of Gladewater will those its “Night of Lights" parade at 6 p.m. Dec. 8 in downtown Gladewater.
Parade-goers will see holiday floats, marching bands, classic cars, EMS vehicles and a visit from Santa Claus.
Free hot chocolate and cookies will be provided and fun holiday décor, including the city’s two 12-foot tall nutcrackers, 26-foot tall Christmas tree, Santa’s Mailbox, a giant snow globe and a mini forest of trees.
At the conclusion of the parade, the winning float entries will be announced at Gladewater Community Christmas Dinner at First Methodist United Church, Jeter Hall at 217 Quitman St., along with the winners of this year’s Gladewater Storefront Window Decorating Contest.
