An aggravated robbery occurred at 11:10 p.m. Saturday at the Valero Gas Station, 2211 WSW Loop 323 in Tyler, according to Sgt. Daniel Richardson of the Tyler Police Department.

Upon arrival, police were advised that a white or Hispanic female and black male entered the store and confronted the cashier. As the female suspect walked around the counter, the male suspect pointed a black semi-automatic pistol at the clerk and ordered him to raise his hands, according to a news release.

The female then reached into the cash register and placed an undisclosed amount of money in a plastic bag. The suspects fled the scene on foot.

The female was described as being about 5-foot-4 and 150 pounds. She was wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants and a black bandana covering her face. The male suspect is about 5-foot-7 and 140 pounds. He also was wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants and a white bandana that covered his face, according to the release.

The clerk was not injured during the robbery.
