It warmed up for a bit, but winter is on its way back.

Tuesday temperatures warmed up to highs in the mid-50s, but they will dip back down below freezing by Thursday night, according to the National Weather Service in Shreveport.

Temperatures will remain moderate on Wednesday with highs near 64 degrees and lows around 53 in the evening.

There is a 30 percent chance of rain on Thursday, with highs near 59. Thursday evening, temperatures are projected to dip to 28 degrees.

It will remain chilly on Friday with highs around 44, and lows around 30 Friday evening.

Saturday will come with highs near 42, and low temperatures around 24 degrees.

More of the same on Sunday with highs near 44 and lows near 30.

There is a 30 percent chance of rain on Monday, or Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Temperatures will peak with a high of 46.
