Elvis tribute artist to perform at TASCA

Elvis tribute artist Josh Davis will perform Thursday at Tyler Area Senior Citizens Association Activity Center, 10495 CR 2167, Whitehouse, as part of a dinner and show.

Dinner provided by Traditions restaurant will be at 6 p.m. and the concert at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for the show and $25 for the show and dinner. VIP tickets cost $50.

Quilt Guild to host guest speaker

Diane Rose, known as “the Amazing Quilter,” will be guest speaker for the Quilt Guild of East Texas (QGET) at the group’s meeting at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Church, Disciple Hall, 4202 Broadway Ave., Tyler.

Hall has been vision-impaired with glaucoma all her life, and became blind in 1984, according to her website.

goodman to host murder mystery event

The Goodman Museum, 624 N. Broadway Ave., Tyler, will host “All Too Quiet a Night,” a murder-mystery dinner, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

Pre-paid reservations are required and cost $40. The meal will be provided by Stanley’s Famous BBQ. Seating is limited.

Women’s Auxiliary to host Christmas sale

The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary will have its Christmas sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 717 N. Spring Ave., Tyler.

Items for sale will include artificial trees, ornaments, wreaths, Nativity scenes, Christmas dishes, linens, nutcrackers, garland and yard décor.

Proceeds from this sale benefit the programs and services of The Salvation Army in Tyler.

Top Ladies to mark 55th anniversary

Top Ladies of Distinction will observe its 55th anniversary at 10 a.m. Saturday at the TJC West Campus.

The organization was chartered in Texas on Sept. 8, 1964, as a nonprofit educational, humanitarian organization.

Pet pictures with Santa Paws set nov. 23

Pet Pictures With Santa Paws, a fundraiser for the Humane Society’s Pets Fur People, is set from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 23 at Peltier Subaru in Tyler.

People can have a photo of their pet taken with Santa for $20.

Proceeds benefit the Humane Society’s Pets Fur People.

Palestine library gathering items for animal shelter

Palestine Public Library is collecting supplies to benefit the Humane Society of Anderson County.

The organization needs nonclumping cat litter, toys for dogs and cats, Q-tips, alcohol, aspirin, laundry detergent, bleach and office supplies.

Items will be collected at the library and delivered through Dec. 13.
