Ben and Maytee Fisch College of Pharmacy at UT Tyler has organized a Hurricane Harvey Relief Drive. Items sought include nonperishable food, diapers, baby formula, toiletries, feminine hygiene items, new or gently used clothing as well as trash bags, gloves and face masks for cleanup efforts. Donations will be accepted at the College of Pharmacy's student affairs office on the first floor of the college, 3900 University Blvd.
UT Tyler’s Office of Leadership and Service is encouraging students, faculty and staff to donate supplies to help Southeast Texas’ victims of flooding and storm damage. Donations can be left at Room 3400 of the University Center. Items needed include adult diapers, children's diapers, baby wipes, sleeping bags, large trash bags, toilet paper and paper towels, first aid items, bottled water, dog and cat food, toiletries, feminine hygiene items and Gatorade.
East Texas Cornerstone Assistance Network is partnering with KVNE to take donations of gift cards, diapers, clothing, socks and underwear. Donations may be made at Cornerstone's office, 200 N. Beckham Ave.
The Tyler Police Department is accepting donations of unopened packages of socks, T-shirts, underwear and toiletries for first responders assisting with hurricane relief efforts at its main station, 711 W. Ferguson St., and the Faulkner Park Police Substation, 574 W. Cumberland Road.
Cavender’s at 2025 Loop 323 in Tyler is accepting donations from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. through Saturday, Sept. 2 and from noon-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3.The deadline for receiving donations is Sunday. Items needed are diapers, pack-n-play, socks, bottled water, children’s clothes, canned goods, pillows, blankets, bedding and nonperishable items. Cavender’s will take all the supplies donated in a box truck to Houston.
The Brook Hill School is accepting donations of water bottles, diapers, baby wipes, toothpaste, toothbrushes and blankets through Wednesday, Sept. 6, at the Lower School or the Cabin Coffee House. Do not bring money or gift cards, only the requested items.
