Every second Saturday, many downtown Tyler businesses make an extra effort to showcase the full range of their offerings, with car shows, concerts, food truck rallies and more held in conjunction with Hit the Bricks.

This month’s event featured food trucks, vendors and airbrush tattooing, among other activities.

In addition, organizers for Tyler ComicCon, which is set for Nov. 2-3, took over the downtown square for a kickoff.

Paper plate painting was also offered for area kids and their families at the Goodman-LeGrand House & Museum.
