A display of more than 20 Christmas trees that all feature different Christian themes will be on display at Prestige Estates from now until Dec. 31.
"The display creates such an ambiance of Christian love and friendship to all," JoAnne McMeans, community liaison at Prestige Estates said. "It's an edification of God's name and a celebration of the coming of Christ."
Mrs. McMeans said that throughout the year they look for ways for their residents to both welcome in and give back to the community. The trees were decorated by floral design enthusiast Melody Lade, and are intended to be of interest to people of all ages.
A large tree in the front lobby titled the Immanuel tree tells the story of Christ from top to bottom, while trees inspired by fish, candy canes and even a popular soda brand tell the story in different ways.
The public is encouraged to attend the event and maps will available at the front to help guide visits along the trail inside the facility. Those who view trees on the memory care wing will need to be accompanied by staff.
Children will be offered candy canes and will able to write letters to Santa Claus with stationary that will be provided by Prestige Estates.
Prestige Estates is located at 6928 Paluxy Drive, and visitors can come see the display from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m on weekdays and from 9 to 6 p.m. on the weekends. The trail will be on display from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Christmas.
