WOOD COUNTY (KYTX) - DPS are searching for a vehicle involved in a pedestrian hit-and-run accident in Wood County, just southeast of Winnsboro.

Trooper Jean Dark says a vehicle traveling northbound on FM 852 hit a pedestrian around 5:45 p.m. Thursday evening. The vehicle is said to be a small light-colored car, possibly white. The car will have damage to the passenger side rearview mirror.

The pedestrian, who has not been identified at this time, is now in stable condition at Trinity Mother Frances.

Anyone with information on the vehicle or the driver is being urged to call DPS Garland or DPS Tyler communication offices.
