Share the love of summer blooms by attending the Tyler Senior Center's "Beat the Heat" Seed and Cutting Swap at 1 p.m. Monday.
"We invite gardeners to bring some of their favorite seeds or cuttings and pass them along for others to enjoy," Tyler Senior Center supervisor Kay Odom said. "This is a great, economical way to try out new varieties without investing a lot of money."
Attendees are asked to bring their own containers to carry home the seeds and cuttings. This event is also the perfect time to share a few growing tips about favorite summer varieties.
The Tyler Senior Center, located at 1915 Garden Valley Road, provides activities and programming for people ages 55 and better. For more information about the center and its activities, call (903) 597-0781.
