Azalea Arts and Crafts Fair to be held in Tyler Rose Garden

The highlights at this year’s Azalea Arts and Crafts Fair will be unique gifts and custom handmade accessories. Due to renovations at Bergfeld Park, the event has been moved to the Tyler Rose Garden located at 420 Rose Park Drive. This event is set for Saturday, April 8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, April 9, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. A limited number of booth spaces remain.

More than 75 vendors are expected to attend the fair, offering a vast array of handmade items, ranging from photography, pottery and paintings to jewelry, clothing, painted gourds, candles, florals, quilts, soaps, plants, woodcrafts, blown glass and much more.

Entertainment includes local youth to perform. On Saturday, at 11 a.m. the John Tyler Jazz Band will perform, at noon the Clarkston Choral will sing and the Caldwell Jazz Band will perform at 1 p.m.

Special guest entertainers are scheduled for both days:

Beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Patrick Odom, a local favorite will sing and will also perform on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

The K3 Sisters are set to perform at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. For a decade the seven member K3 Sisters Band has been performing a family-friendly mix of original compositions and favorite song covers throughout Texas to the delight of audiences of all ages.

“Every band member of the K3 Sisters is a multi-instrumentalist,” said Debbie Isham, events and recreation manager. “In a single show, fans can enjoy the sounds of electric and acoustic guitars, mandolins, violins, banjos, dobro, keyboard, drums, bass, woodwinds and percussion instruments. This show will be one you don’t want to miss!”

Layered with the award-winning lead and harmony vocals of sisters Kaylen, Kelsey and Kristen Kassab, in addition to family members and seasoned professionals Kalem Bradley, Nate Abraham, Jamie and Bruce Ray- and the result is a world-class, unforgettable, high-energy concert and stage show that transcends pop, indie, world, country, Texas and rock music genres.

Another local favorite to perform is the Tyler All Star Band on Sunday at 3 p.m.

For a small charge, children can participate in the Kid’s Zone and face painting. Concessions will be available both days.
