A convicted felon and two others were arrested after authorities found drugs in their vehicle during a traffic stop in Smith County.
A Smith County Sheriff's Deputy was dispatched to County Road 2152 on a suspicious vehicle call around 1 a.m. Tuesday and conducted a traffic stop.
The driver was identified as Willie Earl Calley, 34, of Smith County. Two passengers in the car were identified as Rebecca Cook, 26, and Patrick Trent Kemp, 23, also of Smith County.
Calley was arrested on an outstanding warrant for child support and charged with convincted felon in possession of a firearm.
All three were placed under arrest for 3 grams of methamphetamine found in the truck and taken to the Smith County Jail.
At the jail, authorities found Cook and Kemp in possession of a controlled substance. Both were charged.
with possession of a controlled substance in a correctional facility, which is a third degree felony.
