South Tyler Rotary, Sunrise Rotary and the Rotary Club of Tyler will hold its annual joint Bike Build at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at Pollard United Methodist Church.

The three clubs have collaborated for several years to assemble bikes for local children. The popular event has become a family affair over the last several years, as many Rotarians bring their families to help assemble the bikes.

Last year, over 250 bikes were assembled in 90 minutes for local children.

“In the spirit of Christmas, this activity demonstrates in a tangible way how a service organization such as Rotary gives back to our community,” said Tony Raymond, president of South Tyler Rotary.
