A Tyler man was arrested Wednesday after an early morning police chase that began in Whitehouse and ended in the Bullard area.

Henry Marshall Jr., 25, was arrested for evading arrested arrest and reckless driving.

He is now in Smith County Jail, Whitehouse Police Chief Paul Robeson said.

Whitehouse Police Department began a pursuit in Whitehouse after Marshall did not stop his vehicle when an office tried to pull him over for a traffic violation, Robeson said.

Marshall then traveled along county roads and stopped in a driveway near Bullard, where he turned himself in, Robeson said.

He was taken into custody.

Smith County Sheriff’s Office deputies assisted in the chase, according to sheriff’s office public information officer Larry Christian.
