Thousands of people packed Blackberry Square in downtown Lindale Saturday to enjoy vendor booths, festival games, fresh barbecue and cool weather during the city’s annual CountryFest.

The Lindale Area Chamber of Commerce has hosted CountryFest every year since 1984.

Adults were seen shopping, listening to live music and checking out classic cars, while children indulged in face paint, a petting zoo, bounce houses and laser tag.

This year’s event started off with the Altra Federal Credit Union Harvest Hustle 5K in the morning, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to benefit the David Powell Food Pantry, the Lindale ISD Education Foundation, Lindale Fire Department and the Lillie Russell Memorial Library.
