Karen Horton Co. and Relax Hour Spa, a high-end spa and boutique specializing in jewelry, handbags and boutique-style clothing, has closed its doors.

A Facebook post confirms the closure. Karen Horton, who no longer owns the business, said she’s saddened by it.

“When Eric and I sold KH&C and I retired two years ago, we never would have anticipated this unfortunate outcome,” she wrote. “After 25 years of building and growing both the store and spa, and making so many wonderful friends along the way, it was difficult to hand it over to new owners back in 2015. Thank you to all who have reached out. Even with no current involvement or ownership, seeing it close is very sad.”

The boutique is located at 5613 Donnybook Ave.

Two aestheticians who worked at the spa posted messages on the store’s Facebook page to call their personal numbers to set up appointments.
