Jack Ryan's Steak and Chophouse will officially open on Wednesday, Nov. 11 in the People's Petroleum Building in downtown Tyler. The upscale restaurant will occupy the second floor and the mezzanine level of the historic building.
"We are thrilled to bring a restaurant of this caliber to Tyler, and are so proud that the Ebey's chose the People's Petroleum Building for their location," Garnett Brookshire, president of People's Petroleum Building, said on Thursday.
Jack Ryan's is owned by brothers Brad and Wes Ebey, who opened the original Jack Ryan's in Kilgore in 2013. The brothers trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and worked in fine dining restaurants and hotels including the Adolphus Hotel, the Four Seasons, and Cru Wine Bar.
Their restaurant is named after Brad's son, Jack Ryan, who turned 1 year old in April 2013.
The menu features a wide range of dishes, from a 12-ounce Kobe beef flatiron steak to an upscale take on a chicken and waffles dish, made with chicken breast and a Belgian waffle.
A lunch menu has moderately priced dishes such as chicken-fried steak, chicken penne and Jack's Philly, their take on a Philly cheese steak sandwich.
Jack Ryan's Steak and Chophouse will be open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 10 .pm., and Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m.
The phone number is 903-630-7651.
