Dr. Coker named a Fellow in American College of Dentists

Dr. Richard H. Coker, a cosmetic dentist who has been practicing in Tyler since 1972, was named a Fellow in the American College of Dentists at a recent annual meeting in San Francisco.

The American College of Dentists is the oldest major honorary organization for dentists.

Only about 3.5% of dentists in the United States earn Fellowship in the American College of Dentists. It is by invitation and is based on a confidential, peer-review system that has remained intact since its founding.

Dr. Rick Coker’s Smile Studio is located at the corner of Shiloh and Copeland roads in Tyler.

ETAHU was recognized as part of the National Association of Health Underwriters’ Chapter Certification Program, which is an ongoing program that recognizes chapters throughout the calendar year.

“The leadership of NAHU members has a far-reaching impact on providing for the health care needs of individuals, families and business in their communities. We are grateful for ETAHU’s hard work with chapter development and recognize them for their efforts with this well-deserved award,” said NAHU CEO Janet Trautwein.

“ETAHU exemplifies the dedication to providing the best opportunities for our members through their dedication to chapter development,” Cynthia Swanson, president of ETAHU, said in a prepared statement.

“This year, ETAHU organized members to help the regional food bank prepare backpacks and senior boxes in our local community,” according to the statement. “As part of our communications efforts, ETAHU hosted an annual symposium and education day to educate, increase and maintain NAHU memberships.”
