Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Smith County announced it will have a professional food manager certification training course from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 22-23 at the Extension Office in the Cotton Belt Building, 1517 W. Front St. in Tyler.

Cost is $125, which includes training, materials and a national food manager certification examination. The food manager’s certification will be valid for five years. Those who only need to re-take the exam may do so at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 23. Please arrive by 1:20 p.m. to complete paperwork. Cost for re-taking the exam is $40.

If you are in need to just re-take the exam, it will be administered on August 23rd, 2019, 1:30 p.m. The cost is $40.00 to re-test. If you need this, please call the County Extension Office at 903-590-2980 for registration information and also make arrangements to arrive at 1:20 in order to fill out the necessary paperwork.

Everyone taking the exam is required to have a valid drivers license. The class will be pre-registration only and class space is limited. The last date to pre-register is Aug. 16. Minimum number of attendees will be 10 or the class will be canceled.
