The Texas Rose Festival Rose Queen’s Court includes dozens of young women who participate as out-of-town duchesses. These women are from families with ties to the Rose City. They will be featured in the Queen’s Coronation and Rose Parade.

The Texas Rose Festival is scheduled for Oct. 15 to 18 in Tyler.

 

Amelia Abernathy, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Craig Logan Abernathy, attends Texas Christian University where she is in Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.

 

Amelia Lucile Alford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Rogers Alford, is an integrated marketing and communications major at the University of Mississippi where she is in Delta Delta Delta sorority and on the dean’s list.
