Cirque Italia’s Aquatic Spectacular show continues through Sunday in Tyler.
The water circus features a 35,000-gallon water stage with a water curtain and dancing fountains.
The show is inspired by European circuses that combine thrills, artistry, drama and theatrical staging, said Manuel Rebecchi, the founder, in promotional material.
His relatives ran a traveling circus in Europe for years.
Rebecchi said the water stage sets Cirque Italia apart from other circuses in the United States. The show began touring in 2012 and came to Tyler for the first time last year.
The circus presents a high-wire act, aerialists, contortionists, acrobats, stunt drivers on personal watercraft, dancers and clowns.
Cirque Italia is set up under a tent in the south parking lot of Broadway Square Mall. Performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday, and 2:30, 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
A box office will open on site.
