Mistletoe & Magic through Saturday


Junior League of Tyler's Mistletoe & Magic holiday market, "Merry & Bright," continues through Saturday at Harvey Convention Center, 2000 W. Front St.

The market features more than 90 retailers selling seasonal items, gourmet foods, gifts and clothing.

The shopping hours are noon to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $8. Children ages 6 and younger are admitted free. Tickets will be sold at the door and also can be ordered by calling 903-595-5426.

Special events Friday include the Home for the Holidays brunch beginning at 9:30 a.m. featuring a fashion show, lunch and presentation by Kim Lewis a designer for "ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and "Friday Night Christmas Lights," an after-hours shopping event. There are additional costs to attend the special events.

Junior League of Tyler uses the market to raise money for its community service projects.

Water Circus runs through Sunday


Cirque Italia will present its Aquatic Spectacular show in Tyler on Nov. 6 through 8. It is being promoted as a "vivid, dramatic and moving experience under a customized traveling tent."

The tent surrounds around a 35,000-gallon water stage with a pool and spraying fountains. The stage serves as the backdrop for aerial acts, clowns, hand balancing, contortionists and acrobats.

The circus will set up in the south parking lot of Broadway Square Mall. Performances are set for 7:30 p.m. Friday; 2:30, 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 and 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

Men in Harmony perform Saturday


East Texas Men in Harmony, a barbershop style chorus, is scheduled to perform at 7 p.m. Saturday in the auditorium at West Rusk High School

Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for students and will be sold at the door, an announcement said.

The concert is a fundraiser for the West Rusk Alumni Association, which awards scholarships. Cirque Italia will present its Aquatic Spectacular show in Tyler on Nov. 6 through 8.
