Grace Visiting Nurses offer free screenings in Tyler, Jacksonville

Free blood pressure, and pulse-oximeter checks will be held in Jacksonville beginning from 10 a.m. to noon at Grace Visiting Nurses, 111 Cash St. in Jacksonville every first Tuesday of the month (May 6, June 3, July 1, Aug. 5, Sept. 2, Oct. 7, Nov. 4, Dec. 2).

It also will be held from 10 a.m. to noon every third Tuesday in Tyler, at Grace Visiting Nurses, 1725 S. Beckham beginning April 15. (May 20, June 17, July 15, Aug. 19, Sept. 16, Oct. 21, Nov. 18, Dec. 16).

Pearls and Promises to benefit women’s services

Trinity Mother Frances Foundation Women’s Board will hold the annual Pearls and Promises Gala at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Willow Brook Country Club. The fundraiser focuses on expanding women’s services provided through Trinity Mother Frances.

The event will feature fine dining, live and silent auctions, black-and-white “After-Five” attire, and the music of Downtown Fever (Dallas/Fort Worth).

All proceeds raised by Pearls and Promises will go to the Pat Herd Women’s Center and to Programs for Women at Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics.

Hot Yoga Tyler to hold community events

Hot Yoga Tyler will hold a free day of yoga with sessions at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday at the studio, at 2665 Park Ridge Drive, behind FRESH by Brookshire’s.

They also will hold Yoga On the Patio at 10 a.m. May 10 on the patio at FRESH.
