The walls of a downtown coffee shop are covered in colorful artwork by a mysterious, unnamed Tyler artist.
While many artists would say their work is open for interpretation, the artist behind the current exhibit on display at the Foundry Coffee, 202 S Broadway Ave., has taken the idea one step further.
Each piece in the unnamed exhibit hangs without comment. None of the pieces are titled, and none bear the name of the artist.
The artist said the goal was to strip away any sense of entitlement that can come with creating and presenting artwork to the world and instead let the audience form their own opinions
The artist has invited the public to come up with their own titles for the pieces and share their ideas on social media using the hashtag #unentitledartfoundry.
The artwork will be on display at The Foundry until Dec. 20.
