A Tyler author just released a book nationwide this week titled "Insight to His Sight."

"As people study the Bible, they are often stirred by questions that have difficult answers," according to the written release. "However, by reading the Scriptures in full context, they recognize that everything they need to know is found inside the living and breathing Word of God."

John David Harwood came up with the inspiration for the book while working with humanitarian nonprofit, Mercy Ships, in Sierra Leone.

"By carefully listening to his team and reflecting to the obstacles that he was facing while serving on the Mercy Ship in Sierra Leone, he was able to gain new perspective and insight that opened a door to what he now recognizes as his calling in life," according to the release. "Harwood's vision throughout this piece is to demonstrate how both serving and studying help readers to recognize their place in the world as well as their calling from God. Each person serves a significant roll, and Harwood has attempted to help people to discover their own purpose in this genuine piece of literature."

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Harwood is a professional writer from Tyler, where he was born and raised.

He attended Texas Christian University and received a bachelor's degree in communication studies.
