People's Missionary Baptist Church, 2908 Bellwood Road, in Tyler will have a pastor's aide musical at 7 p.m. today. Pastor is Marcus Jackson.

People's Missionary Baptist Church's Women's Ministry will have its Women's Conference from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. today at the church, 2908 Bellwood Road, in Tyler. Registration costs $8 and begins at 8 a.m. Refreshments will be served.



Green Acres Baptist Church will start a new schedule on Sunday. The church will switch to a 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. schedule with Bible study and worship offered during both times.



The 2015 Lenten Soul Food series of Tyler's First Presbyterian Church, 230 W. Rusk St., concludes at 5 p.m. Sunday with music in the Hebrew tradition by folk musician Rabbi Neal Katz.

The free event is open to the public.

Katz is the rabbi of Tyler's Congregation Beth El, a leader of civic nonprofit organizations, an active participant in ecumenical projects, and leader of a klezmer band of local professional musicians. Visit for more information.



The Tyler Council of Church Women will meet at 10 a.m. Monday at The Salvation Army, 633 N. Broadway Ave., in Tyler. The 10:30 a.m. program will involve Interfaith Day and the installation of officers. All members are asked to bring paper towels and Kleenex for donations.



The Mark Trammell Quartet and the First Voice Quartet are scheduled to perform at 7 p.m. Friday at the Texas Gospel Music Hall on Texas Highway 19 South in Athens.

First Christian Church, 4202 S. Broadway Ave., will have a U2charist at 7 p.m. Friday. The service will feature the songs of Irish rock band U2.
