Schneider to play Liberty Hall on March 28

On his new album, Bob Schneider features the Tosca String Quartet, a group from Austin, Texas -- Schneider's adopted home turf.

Liberty Hall, 103 E. Erwin St., Tyler, will host a concert by Austin musician Bob Schneider at 8 p.m. on March 28.

Three previous concerts by Schneider at Liberty Hall have sold out.

Schneider is promoting music from "The King Kong Suite," the first of what is planned to be three volumes of new music.

"My music isn't ever really just one thing," Schneider said in a statement released through Liberty Hall. "It's quirky. One minute it seems like it's a joke and the next it's deadly serious, and that's in the same song. I'm not an easy person to understand or figure out, but, and I hope I'm right, it keeps things interesting in the long run."

Tickets cost $20 online through the venue's website, libertytyler.com, and will be sold for $25 at the door.
