Tyler will be one of 25 cities to host a performance by the United States Navy Band during its 2019 tour.

The Navy Concert Band is scheduled to perform at 7 p.m. Feb. 27 at the University of Texas at Tyler's Cowan Center, organizers announced.

The concert will be free and and open to the public.

The premier wind ensemble of the U.S. Navy presents an array of marches, patriotic selections, orchestral transcriptions and modern wind ensemble repertoire, the announcement said. 

The Concert Band has been performing public concerts for more than 90 years.
