As part of Hit the Bricks, Liberty Hall will be showing the animated Disney movie "Cinderella" at 2 p.m. Jan. 13.
In addition to the showing, Liberty Hall will have a costume contest for boys and girls to dress up as their favorite Cinderella character — think princesses, princes, fairy godmothers or even very helpful mice.
The audience will choose a winner and he or she will receive tickets, along with his or her parents (three tickets total), to see Rodgers & Hammerstein's "Cinderella" as part of the UT Tyler Cowan Center Broadway Series at the Cowan Center at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 18.
This is a Tony Award-winning Broadway musical from the creators of "The Sound of Music" and "South Pacific" that delights audiences with its contemporary take on this classic tale. All children who participate in the costume contest are encouraged to dress up again and attend the Broadway musical at UT Tyler Cowan Center.
Tickets for the Jan. 13 movie are available online at www.LibertyTyler.com and tickets for the Jan. 18 musical are available by calling the Cowan Center box office at 903-566-7424 or online at www.CowanCenter.org.
Liberty Hall is a department of the city of Tyler.
