Did you know: Brook Hill quarterback Garrett Esposito has thrown for 1,008 yards. The 6-6 senior quarterback has hit on 70 of 135 passing attempts for 14 TDs and three interceptions. His favorite target is the athletic Seth Moss, who has gathered in 26 receptions for 566 yards and 11 touchdowns. Just behind Moss is Carson Richards (23-274, 2 TDs). ... Lane Barter had a standout game last week against Dallas Christian, rushing for 132 yards on 24 carries. Before that game he had three attempts for 50 yards and a TD. Fisher Bass is the leading rusher on the season with 33 totes for 228 yards and a score. ... Defensively, Nick LaRocca and Philip Obaseki each have three sacks for the Guard with the top tacklers Nico Flores (36), Barter (34), Bass (32) and Jake Shaffer (31). Shaffer, who is also the placekicker, had nine tackles last week against the Chargers. ... As for the Cougars, running back Jeremiah Milton has rushed for 1,371 yards and scored three touchdowns on 118 attempts. Next in line in the rushing department are quarterback Price Williams (38-131, TD), Brooks Bays (20-130, 2 TDs) and Peyton Walters (13-114, TD). ... In the passing department, Williams has connected on 79 of 141 attempts for 1,321 yards with 12 TDs and eight interceptions. ... The top reciever is Walters (26-396, 4 TDs). He is followed by Luke Smith (17-226, TD) and Emmanuel Milton (14-279, 4 TDs). ... Alvin Skipworth, the Coogs’ talented senior, should be back in gear as he will appear in his third game of the season since returning from injury. Last week against McKinney Christian, he started at slot receiver and safety. He rushed 12 times for 52 yards and a touchdown, while grabbing four receptions for 61 yards. He also had five tackles. ... Britton Anderson, Bays and John Moore lead Grace in sacks with three each. Top tacklers include Isaiah Milton (56), Kaden Ramirez (44), Jacob Pena (32), Joshua Murray (29), Anderson (27), Bays (26), Moore (26), Luke Smith (20) and Alex Quintero (19). ... Smith and Walters each had two interceptions last week against the Mustangs. Smith has three on the season with Emmanuel Milton and Walters with two each, while Quintero, Gabe Schuricht and Murray have one apiece.
