Tickets remain available for the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce's 34th annual Economic Outlook luncheon, featuring economist Dr. Ray Perryman.
The luncheon is slated for 11:30 a.m.- 1 p.m. Jan. 11.
"It's really interesting to hear Ray Perryman because he is so knowledgeable on what makes the economy work, and he looks at it for from a national, state and local perspective," said Tom Mullins, Tyler Economic Development Council CEO. "People learn a lot from his presentation and it helps guide business decision-making going into the new year."
Last year Perryman noted the Tyler economy would thrive in coming years, outpacing the nation and the state in growth, income and employment levels.
"The health care industry is thriving, Tyler is becoming a destination place for retirees, and you have strong retail and restaurant sectors," said Perryman, president of the Waco-based economic research firm, The Perryman Group. "And you're blessed in having very strong leadership."
Tickets for the 2018 luncheon are available from the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce, at 903-592-1661. The cost is $30 per person, or $240 for a table of eight.
The event will take place at the Green Acres Baptist Church CrossWalk Conference Center, 1607 Troup Highway.
The event usually sells out, chamber officials said. For more information, contact Jenni Wilson at email@example.com or call her directly at 903-596-0106.
