NOTICE OF TAX REVENUE INCREASE The City of Tyler conducted two public hearings on August 28, 2019 and September 11, 2019 on a proposal to increase the total tax revenues of the City of Tyler from properties on the tax roll in the preceding year by 7.96 percent. The total tax revenue proposed to be raised last year at last year’s tax rate of $.244452 for each $100 of taxable value was $20,536,545. The total tax revenue proposed to be raised this year at the proposed tax rate of $.259900 for each $100 of taxable value, excluding tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year is $22,153,222. The total tax revenue proposed to be raised this year at the proposed tax rate of $.259900 for each $100 of taxable value, including tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year is $22,576,601. The City of Tyler is scheduled to vote on the tax rate that will result in that tax increase at a public meeting to be held on September 25, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at Tyler City Hall on 212 N. Bonner Avenue. The City of Tyler proposes to use increase in total tax revenue for the purpose of enhancing public safety and infrastructure.
