15-year-old pianist, Antonio "Nio" Ajero performs a solo piano recital in Cole Concert Hall on the campus of Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches. The program will include works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, Frédéric Chopin, Franz Liszt, and Stephen Hough. Admission is free and open to the public. Nio Ajero recently performed on an episode of NPR's From The Top. He attended the Aspen Music Festival and School and Cremona International Music Academy the past two summers thanks to the support of the Texas Commission on the Arts and Texas Cultural Trust through their Young Masters Scholarship Program. Nio studies piano with both Linda and Andrew Parr at Stephen F. Austin State University and has performed in masterclasses with artists such as Fabio Bidini, Kenny Broberg, Sean Chen, Hung-Kuan Chen, and Alexander Kobrin.
