The Tyler Parks and Recreation Department will increase capacity limits for Glass Recreation Center on Monday.

A maximum of 30 visitors at a time will be allowed in the facility. Visitors will have a limit of 2.5 hours per visit if the capacity is reached. No appointment is necessary. Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Each specific exercise area will have a capacity restriction.

  • Gym: 8 people
  • Weight Room: 6 people
  • Track: 10 people
  • Cardio Room: 6 people

Some classes and programming will be provided outdoors. Interested members must register for classes by calling 903-595-7271.

“We understand our members are as eager as we are to get back in the facility,” said Senior Manager Leanne Robinette. “We hope that the increase in capacity encourages them to join us whenever they are ready. We have implemented stringent sanitizing precautions along with other safety protocols to ensure the safety of each person and our staff.”

The Glass is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
