Ashley Longshore has been compared to Andy Warhol, and the New Orleans-based artist was named as one of the top female artists to know. Her work is usually found only at the top art galleries in the nation like Bergdorf Goodman in Manhattan.

Today, an exclusive collection of Longshore's new art collection is on display at The Grove Kitchen & Gardens.

The art is in Tyler thanks to a long friendship.

"My wife and I are good friends with Ashley and we've spent a lot of time with her at events," said Michael Herd, owner of The Grove Kitchen & Gardens.

"I built the Grove to bring something special to East Texas, especially Tyler, to showcase our way of life and our beautiful indoor/outdoor living and the incredible backyard experience or home life people have."

Having Longshore at the unveiling brought a large crowd, and she didn't disappoint, posing for fun photos and signing copies of her book.

"I partnered with Ashley to bring a very sophisticated, yet wild and fun new art collection to Tyler," Herd said. "So we are rivaling some of the most prolific places and businesses in the world."

The Grove Kitchen & Gardens, located at 3500 Old Jacksonville Road in Tyler, is also known for its farm-to-table food. It also has live music and other events. Information is on its website, thegrovetyler.com, or on its Facebook page.
