Teachers and staff from Andy Woods Elementary School took to the streets in decorated vehicles to wave and smile as they took a route through Tyler to pass by the homes of their students. Students, their families and other community members watched from their yards, windows and porches as the parade of teachers passed by. This week Tyler ISD began online learning. Because of social distancing to curb the spread of the corona virus, students are now learning from home. Some students, such as fifth grader Lilah Spillman, miss having in-person class with their teachers. Spillman was excited to see her teacher, Sarah Robinson, riding in a convertible down her street. "I want to tell my teacher that the car was cool," Spillman said.
