Boys Hoops Rdp: Brownsboro crushes Van, completes district unbeaten

VAN – The Brownsboro Bears capped a second-striaght year of going unbeaten in district play with an emphatic 81-32 victory over Van Tuesday in their regular-season finale. Brownsboro (22-6, 8-0 in District 14-4A) received 24 points from Kenneth Woods. Also sccoring in double figures for the Bears were Tamerick Pace (15), Xavier Richardson (13) and Kevon Thompson (11).

HARMONY – The Harmony Eagles finished the season on a positive note with a 60-54 win over Winnsboro on Tuesday.

Harmony received double-figure scorring from Bentley Miner (15), Jacob Kimmen (14) and Waymon Lay (15) as the Eagles finished with 15-13 overall and 6-8 in District 14-3A.

Chapel Hill 62, Kilgore 43

KILGORE – Fred Attaway and Ty Osborne both scored 10 points to lead Chapel Hill to a 62-43 victory over Kilgore on Tuesday in the District 16-4A finale.

The Bulldogs finished league play at 7-3 and will play either Pleasant Grove or Paris North Lamar in the Class 4A bi-district playoffs on Monday or Tuesday.

Chapel Hill led 19-11 at halftime and stretched the advantage to 38-20 entering the fourth quarter.

ROWLETT – JJ Murray led a balanced attack with 13 points as Rowlett closed out an undefeated District 11-6A championship with a 56-36 victory over Robert E. Lee on Tuesday night. The Red Raiders were led by 10 points from Tobias High, with Kirby Mabry chipping in with nine points.

Oliver Powell added 12 for the Eagles.

Robert E. Lee ended its season 9-17, 4-10 in District 11-6A.
