Robert E. Lee junior forward Alex Bice has an impressive goal-scoring record and her marksmanship is a big reason the Lady Raiders grabbed the fourth and final playoff spot in District 11-6A this season.

Bice was chosen by the district coaches as the Offensive MVP for District 11-6A.

She was joined by a host of players from Garland ISD, led by Most Valuable Player Cyera Hintzen of district-champion Garland Sachse.

On the boys side of things, REL was shutout of the superlative awards with district champion Naaman Forest capturing five of the eight honors, led by Connor Rackley chosen as Most Valuable Player.

Girls

Bice led the Lady Raiders with 21 goals and four assists this season.

Named to the first team were juniors midfielders Jazmine Navarro and Priscilla Rincon. Navarro led the Lady Raiders with 14 assists to go along with four goals while Rincon had five goals and seven assists. Joining them was senior defender Adai Urieta, who finished with two assists while being the steadying force for the backline.

Lee players named to the second team were freshmen Carly Wyatt (forward) and Abby Tillson (defender) and sophomore Kourtney Hitchcock (forward). Wyatt was second on the team with 13 goals despite missing several games throughout the season for injuries. Tillson scored four goals and had three assists, with Hitchcock totaling eight goals and three assists.

The Lady Raiders went 10-8-5 this past season, falling to Midway 1-0 in the bi-district round.

Boys

Lee senior forward Alex Ruben and junior Edgar Sanchez were chosen for the all-district first team. He was joined on the second team by Anthony Pirtle (junior, goalkeeper) and Juan Davlin (senior, midfielder).

Named honorable mention were defenders Nathan Saucedo (sophomore) and Hayden Smith (senior).

The Red Raiders narrowly missed out on the playoffs, finishing fifth in district.
