The Friends of the Tyler Public Library announced the sponsorship of an outreach booth at this year’s Tyler Rose City Comic Con. The public is invited to stop by the Library’s booth from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

Library staff and volunteers will be on hand demonstrating the library’s new online apps, Comics Plus, One Play and Zinio for Libraries. Comics Plus provides thousands of comic books at the click of a mouse, One Play gives users access to thousands of online games and Zinio is an app for magazine lovers. There also will be several library giveaways during the event. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite cosplay.

The Tyler Rose City Comic Con will be held at the Smith’s Lone Star Event Center at 4036 Farm-to-Market Road 2767 in Tyler. There is an entrance fee to attend this event. Tickets may be purchased online or at the door. Information: www.facebook.com/OfficialTylerTxComicCon/.
