Meet mother Gracie, left, and her son George, a bonded pair that must be adopted together. Gracie and George are available for adoption at the Humane Society’s Pets Fur People in Tyler. This mother and son pair are exceptionally well-mannered. They walk together on a leash and are little angels when you take them for a ride in the car to get an ice cream cone at Andy’s Custard. Gracie and George never meet a stranger — they are social butterflies. Gracie is about 5-years-old and weighs 12 pounds, and little George is about 3-years-old and weighs 9 pounds — they won’t take up much room in the bed. They have been spayed and neutered and are current on starting vaccinations, including rabies. They have also been microchipped for identification purposes. In addition, Gracie and George will go home with a starter kit of food, bedding, a collar and leash and a certificate for 1/2 price on basic obedience from Tyler Obedience Training Club. For more information on adopting Gracie and George, call 903-597-2471 or check the Humane Society’s Pets Fur People website, petsfurpeople.org. Adoption hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; closed for lunch, 1-2 p.m. The Humane Society’s Pets Fur People is the only brick-and-mortar, no-kill shelter in East Texas. They offer dog boarding and routine vaccinations, except for rabies, to the public for dogs and cats. Follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Be a responsible pet owner — spay or neuter your pets. Donations are appreciated at petsfurpeople.org.
