Police investigating after smash-and-grab at Tyler jewelry store

Tyler police officers are looking for three suspects who allegedly broke into a South Tyler jewelry store.

Just before 1:30 p.m. Monday, officers with the Tyler Police Department responded to a theft at the Zales in Cumberland Village, 8934 S. Broadway Ave.

Just minutes before police arrived, three suspects — two Black men and one Black woman — approached the Zales on foot, according to information investigators gathered at the scene.

The woman stayed just outside the doors as the two men entered the store and used hammers to smash cases containing jewelry, according to Tyler police.



They took a large amount of jewelry and ran out.

All three suspects ran eastbound from the Zales. They have not been located at this time.

All three suspects were wearing all black clothing with masks.
