Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany Lynne Mahomes have announced the birth of their third child.

The couple took to Instagram on Monday afternoon, announcing their daughter was born Sunday. The child’s name is Golden Raye Mahomes.

The news was shared with a black-and-white photo of the Mahomes couple’s hands on the new baby’s feet.

Patrick and Brittany have two other children, Sterling Skye, 3, and Patrick “Bronze” Lavon III, 1. They announced their third pregnancy in July.

In February 2021, the couple welcomed Sterling into the world followed by “Bronze” who was born in November 2023.

Patrick Mahomes, quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, and his wife Brittany are East Texas natives. Patrick, born in Tyler, and Brittany have been dating since their high school days when they both attended Whitehouse High School, where Patrick was a standout athlete.

Patrick continues to make headlines on and off the field. In 2024, he was named one of TIME’s Most Influential People of 2024 and featured on the magazine’s cover.

Mahomes, 28, was born in Tyler and went to elementary school in the Rose City before moving to Whitehouse, where he was a standout sports player. He graduated from Whitehouse High School and went on to play in college football at Texas Tech then in the NFL for the Chiefs, where he has earned three Super Bowl championships and MVP honors.

Matthews also went to high school in Whitehouse. She later was a soccer standout at The University of Texas at Tyler and then signed a professional contract with a soccer team in Iceland.
