Sue Ann Whitmire Starnes

FORMERLY OF TYLER — Sue Ann Whitmire Starnes, 89, formerly of Tyler passed away on August 1, 2024. She attended the University of Texas at Tyler and in 1972 she began her professional career as a Social Worker and Supervisor for the Texas Department of Health and Human Services in their Canton, Tyler and Austin offices retiring in 1996. Sue was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church.

She is survived by sons David W. Starnes, Beaumont, Texas; John E. Starnes, Plano, Texas and daughter Amy Starnes Winn, McKinney, Texas.

A Memorial Service will be held at Cheatham Memorial Methodist Church, 205 S. Houston St., Edgewood, TX on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 2:00 PM.
